Andrei Omelyanovich Dobrovolsky was born on December 11, 1996 in the village of Tustan, Halych district. He grew up in a believing and patriotic family. He was very similar to his mother and face and good-natured, kind and sincere.

From 2003 to 2012 he studied at the Tustan High School. From 2012 to 2016 he studied at the Ivano-Frankivsk Professional Polytechnic Lyceum. He received a diploma of a skilled worker in the profession of locomotive engineer and was expelled early in connection with the call for contract service. And in early 2016, he put on a military uniform and became a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Following the example of a father who also defended his homeland in this war, the young man decided to volunteer at the front. The service was carried out in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, in the 8th Podillia Battalion.

Despite such a young age, Andrew was a commander of a combat vehicle and held the position of commander of the department. His parents were proud, and the brothers respected. Last year, during a short vacation, Andrei married his peers. It was a bright and happy young couple who had all their lives ahead. But a brutal war has crossed their dreams.

Andriy Dobrovolskyy was killed on November 17, 2017 as a result of firing of positions near the village. Troitskoe, Popasnyansky district, Luhansk region. Parents, younger brother, sister, wife and daughter remain.

By Presidential Decree No. 189/2018 of June 27, 2018, "for personal courage and selfless actions revealed in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine", was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously).
